What happens every day? - Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability

What happens every day?

The RHN is a vibrant place, but also somewhere you can find peace and tranquility

Staff member and a patient in a wheelcahir dancing at a music making sessionWhat happens each day at the RHN is not just about medical treatment, rehabilitation and care. We believe a holistic experience is also incredibly important, not just for quality of life but for enhancing a person’s care journey.

What happens every day?

As well as the therapies and support you would expect such as physiotherapy, speech and language and occupational therapy, the RHN’s wider experience offers much more every day.

Quiet and private spaces

There are quiet and private spaces for families to meet and chat, as well as social hubs, such as the Morris Room, where you can enjoy a chat and a cup of tea or a snack. If you would like a space for quiet reflection, we have a multi-faith room and our chaplain, Geoff, is available to offer support too.

Leisure

Our Leisure and Families Service offers a programme of activities and events during the day, evenings and weekends. These include gardening, art, music, sports and entertainment. Families and friends are welcome to join sessions.
