Volunteering - Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability

Volunteering

Volunteers play a key role here at the RHN and make a huge difference to the lives of our patients and families.

volunteerOur volunteers play a key role in bringing greater quality of life to the people in our care.

As part of the Leisure & Family Services (LaFS) team at the RHN, volunteers are the life blood of our service. They play a vital role bringing a greater quality of life and, as our acronym suggests, smiles to the people in our care.

Volunteers help to provide an engaging social life for residents and use their skills and time involved in a wide range of activities.

There are volunteering opportunities across all departments within the hospital, including in the fundraising, communications, music therapy, finance and HR teams, or as a gardening volunteer.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, have different experiences and make new friends.

There is a full induction and ongoing training and support available to help build your employability or to enable you to get the best out of your time here. We aim for our volunteer team to be representative of our local communities, so if you have time, skills and energy to donate, please get in touch.

The roles we have on offer are varied and available at a range of times so we’ll most likely have something that suits you.
