Open House London

Open House London saw the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability open our doors to the public for a half day of tours of the most notable rooms and exteriors.

Led by fundraising executive and current caretaker of the hospital archives, Sinead Moriarty, members of the public went on the half hourly tours where they were shown around reception, which is part of the original building, the Maxwell library, De Lancey Lowe room while Sinead gave them  highlights of the hospital’s 150 year history.

Sinead said, “We have been part of the local community in Wandsworth for over 150 years but lots of people who have lived in the area for many years have never even been inside the gates. Open House was a great opportunity for the public to come and see inside this beautiful building and to learn more about the important work we do here.”
