Founder’s Day Celebration

Founder's Day 2016 at The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, Putney, London, UK

Founder’s Day annual celebration of hospital community opened to the public for the first time

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability community celebrated Founder’s Day by gathering its beautiful grounds for an afternoon of music and activities.

For the first time the RHN is invited members of the public to join the celebration.

Chief Executive, Paul Allen, said, ‘To many local people we are the big imposing building that they drive past on West Hill. We invited local people to join us so that they can see for themselves what a vibrant and welcoming community we are.”

Wandsworth’s mayor, Cllr Richard Field, and Douglas Reed, great-great-great grandson of founder Andrew Reed, both spoke, and music was provided by Sounds of Soul, Darren James and classical duo Orpheus Papafilippou and Rimantas Vingras.
